I’ve started this post a few times, but had to delete, delete, delete and start over again because they all sounded too complainey. Long story short is, I’m tired, but what else is new? Short story long is that I’m off to a great start focusing less on doing stuff for other people and doing more for myself. It’s been too cold out to get much walking/running in (yes, I’m a wimp, I don’t like the cold and asking me to exercise in it is just asking too much!) so instead I’ve been working on exercising my creative spirit. Journalling, calligraphy, growing plants (aka, not killing plants). These are things that soothe my mind and make me feel relaxed at the end of the day. Soon enough I’ll be up to my eyeballs in doing stuff for other people again, but I’ve got things figured out so that I can do more for me more often. Happy me = happy everyone else, right? Not that I haven’t been happy, but I’m tired of getting to the end of the day with regrets about getting so bogged down in doing for everyone else that I didn’t have time to do for me, you know?
This has been my 5 minute Stream of Consciousness Sunday post. It’s five minutes of your time and a brain dump. Want to try it? Here are the rules…
- Set a timer and write for 5 minutes.
- Write an intro to the post if you want but don’t edit the post. This is writing in the raw.
- Publish it somewhere. Anywhere. The back door to your blog if you want. But make it accessible.
- Link back to All.Things.Fadra (feel free to use the SOC Sunday graphic).
