Another way I started to flex my creative juices was by taking up watercolor art last year. I had seen how come creators were using watercolor to enhance their calligraphy work and it reminded me of how much I liked to paint way back in the day.
Watercolor art is a skill that needs to be learned and practiced, and I was up to the challenge. I ended up buying the book Everyday Watercolor: Learn to Paint Watercolor in 30 Days by Jenna Rainey because her Instagram is just beautiful and I thought, hey, 30 days? I can do that.
Turns out 30 days was a bit ambitious for me, because… life, but I did spend several months getting through most of the lessons and doing a pretty damn good job of it too, if I do say so myself. Here’s me at the beginning. Stay tuned as I work my way to the end of this book.
